SARNIA, ONTARIO, January 14, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Lea-Ann Riddell with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Lea-Ann Riddell celebrates many years’ experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on years of professional expertise in healthcare and education, Ms. Riddell excels as the manager of resident care for Steeves and Rozema, which develops, owns, and manages various retirement communities, long-term care homes, and commercial and residential properties. Alongside her work with Steeves and Rozema, she is an education professional with Georgian College and Lambton College. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Riddell gained valuable expertise in healthcare as a registered nurse with Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
Before establishing herself professionally, Ms. Riddell earned a diploma in registered nursing from St. Clair College. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she also aligns herself with the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Ontario Nurses Association. In light of her outstanding work, she was recognized by the Toronto Star. Additionally, she witnessed a former nursing student be nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award. While her career has been filled with standout moments, Ms. Riddell takes the most pride in caring for others, including a young girl that coded eight times. She had a number of issues affecting her quality of life. Although she did not survive, Ms. Riddell had the honor of caring for her and getting to know her family.
Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Riddell credits her success to her mentors, Dr. Sandy McDonald, a lead vascular surgeon who did a study for multiple sclerosis, Dr. Brynn Pressnail, a lead oncologist with whom she had an amazing rapport, and Sharon Hamilton, a retired, pediatric and general nurse. Within the coming years, Ms. Riddell intends to wind down her nursing career so that she can continue to teach the next generation of healthcare professionals.
