Groundwell Road has been closed to motorists since the morning of Monday, March 24 due to the burst water main on the town centre street.
The closure remains in place on Tuesday morning in between the road’s junction with Lincoln Street and Regent Circus.
A spokesperson for Swindon Borough Council confirmed that utility company Thames Water had cordoned off the area to enable workers to fix the issue.
Despite being approached for comment, Thames Water are yet to provide an update on how repair work is progressing and when the road will be reopened.
A spokesperson for the council said on Monday:

“Thames Water has cordoned off the road to enable its workers to fix the issue and repair the road surface.
“Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes while the work takes place.
“We will provide updates as soon as we have them from Thames Water.”
