Gerety Awards Reveals 2025 Shortlist

Gerety Awards has revealed the 2025 global shortlist following jury sessions held around the world. In South Africa, Edelman, Le Pub Johannesburg and MullenLowe South Africa have been shortlisted. 

Gererty says the campaign ‘The Unburied Casket for Woman For Change’ by Edelman has been shortlisted in the Communication and Craft Cuts. ‘Social Screen’ for Heineken South Africa by LePub Johannesburg has been shortlisted in the Experience Cut, and MullenLowe South Africa has been shortlisted with ‘Green Gursha’ for Knorr in the Health Cut.

Individuals can watch the jury insight panels live from the UK, the US, Brazil, Canada, France, Australia, South East Asia, Romania, LATAM, Spain, South Africa, MEA and Colombia, says the awards. 

The MEA Executive Jury was led by Prerna Mehra, Creative Director and Head of Design at MullenLowe MENA, and hosted at MullenLowe’s offices in Dubai, adds Gerety

According to the awards, shortlist highlights include:

  • Germany, the US, the UK and France are the countries with the most work among the finalists.
  • VML is the most shortlisted network.
  • Kazakhstan, Paraguay and Croatia are on the shortlist for the first time at Gerety.
  • Art Direction sees the most shortlisted entries into the Craft Cut with works including ‘Unwrap The Summer,’ ‘Connecting Europe’ and ‘In Hot Water’.
  • The most shortlisted campaign is ‘Dancing Washers’ for Whirlpool by VML México.  

Gerety says the Grand Jury will now select the final winners, which will be announced on Tuesday, 2 September. This will include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Grand Prix winners along with the overall Network and Agency of the Year winners.
