Huge former church with ‘an air of Harry Potter’ for sale at mystery price

Trinity Hall at the bottom of Victoria Road was built around 1899 and was formerly Trinity Presbyterian Church.

In the 1950s, the church was restored and again in 2015 when it was made into a state-of-the-art learning environment – currently housing a nursery.

Former cabinet member for children’s services Fionuala Foley said in 2015: “I am delighted to see such a fantastic building brought back to life in such an imaginative way.

“Most of the hall’s historic features are remaining, giving a real air of a Harry Potter theme.”

It was up for sale for £1.2 million but is now being sold by Richard James for an unlisted amount.

The lower floor of the Victoria building is home to Inquisitive Minds day nursery but the agent says the 10,000 square feet of space makes it “adaptable… for a variety of uses while retaining its historical charm”.

Richard James adds: “Trinity Hall stands as a testament to the architectural elegance of the late Victorian era.

“The building, characterised by its ornate detailing and robust construction, reflects the grandeur of the period and [architect William] Wallace’s notable influence on early 20th-century design.”
